Hullo!  My name is Schumi,  the Staffie,  and I'm five. I look so sad because I am so sad.

My dad had something called a stroke and he hasn't come home yet from the vet. My mom sold OUR house and the new people don't want me and she says she can't take me with her. I would definitely prefer to stay here and wait for my dad but they say NO! I can't! I have to go to a Halfway House where I will be loved and sheltered from harm until they find me a new mom and dad, or just a new dad or just a new mom or a whole new family with kids ... they say I will like it there after a few days and they pwomise to take good care of me. They also say I must not wait around for my dad because he may not come back .... Well, I'm leaving the number of the Halfway House people so my dad CAN find me when he gets back from the vet 'cos I don't think he knows what my mom did.

Until then, you can sponsor me or foster me or adopt me. Not that I know what those words mean! But I think it means something good in the meantime. I get very excited every time someone comes to visit AND, get this! ;;;; I TALK. YUP! The last person who saw me from the gate said he is sure he heard me say "hello sweetheart" ..... I swear. I can even prove this, so ask me for his name and number and he'll tell you himself. He couldn't take me home with him because I don't really like other dogs at all and he loves his stupid Tilly too much to risk something happening to her. How childish. Anyway, I don't care ... I'll wait for my dad at the Halfway House............

Bye for now Schumi

Oh yeah, if you want to visit me or adopt me or foster me or even sponsor me, please e-mail  candy@barkingmad.co.za  or charmrescue@gmail.com
